Truth is that in Crete we are not a lot into spicy food since we don’t get really cold temperatures during winter time. However, I love spicy food and I thgought of combining it with our tasty local white cheese made from sheep milk.
500 grams white cheese
2 red chilli peppers, finely chopped
100 grams yogurt
1 spring onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
60 ml olive oil
Lemon zest
Fresh spearmint, chopped
– Mix all ingredients together and put you dip in the refrigerator for an hour before serving
– Drizzle with olive oil on top
Served with barley rusks or toasted bread
